I completely agree. But when you have a theory, thats backed up by insurmountable evidence, has stood the test of scrutiny for over a century you tend not to easily ignore said theory when contemplating the Universe.
You start questioning said theory when you find solid evidence to the contrary, not an anomaly that could be explained through another method, but solid evidence that is almost deffinately in contrast to what the theory states.
